MAUSER acquires American Fiber Drum Corp.

The MAUSER Group, one of the world’s leading companies in industrial packaging, has announced today that it enters the fiber drum manufacturing business in the United States. Continuing the strategy of growth and globalization that the company has followed for several years, MAUSER acquired the assets and business of American Fiber Drum Corp. in Chicago, Illinois.

American Fiber Drum Corp., a supplier of new fiber drums, is an excellent fit with the existing MAUSER product line and has a significant presence in the Midwestern United States. Peter Schaefer, Mauser`s Head of Global Sales & Marketing, comments, “This acquisition will further broaden our product range and enable us to better serve the needs of our customers, thereby strengthening our North American business.”

In Germany, MAUSER has produced and marketed fiber drums for decades. This latest acquisition extends the company’s fiber business to the American continent. The enhanced MAUSER US portfolio will offer industrial customers a one-stop opportunity to satisfy all of their packaging needs. The company’s future plans include further expansions of its fiber business in the Americas region.
